I have a stock ASP.NET project in VS 2005 and I have Strings.resx file in App_GlobalResources -folder. When i paste any hardcoded string in code-file and choose Refactor > Extract To Resource, the Resource File Dropdown is empty except <Add new resourcefile>.

Am i doing something wrong?

Alpha release does not support ASP.Net projects. We are looking in to adding support in the beta release.

We have added support for web sites in the beta release. Those are the web sites create using File -> New Website option. Resource Refactoring Tool will pickup any resource file that is located in AppGlobalResources folder, any other resource file will be ignored since aspnetcompiler generates code for files in App_GlobalResources folder only.

However I have just tested using Resource Refactoring Tool with website projects that were created using Web Project Add-in. In this case, since custom tool name is different Resource Refactoring tool does not pickup all resource files. I will create a workitem and we should be able to fix this issue by 1.0 release.
